I'm a software developer and language enthusiast based in Tahiti. I built Island Koala because I believe that conversational practice is the key to true language fluency — but most people don't have access to native speakers or affordable tutors.
After years of language learning, I realized the biggest barrier wasn't resources or motivation — it was the lack of judgment-free conversation practice.
