Privacy Policy
Forest Panda is operated by an independent software developer based in Tahiti, French Polynesia. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. Questions: lois.talagrand@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account data — your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
- Learning data — your course, level, progress, review history, and generated flashcards.
- Payment data — your purchase entitlement. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy; we never see or store your card details.
- Support data — if you contact us, the name, email, message, and any file you choose to attach.
- Sentence reports — if you report a problem during practice, we store the sentence, your explanation, your account name and email, and the course and session context so we can review it. We send this information to our operator email address through MailerSend.
Service providers
We share the minimum data needed with providers that help operate Forest Panda:
- Lemon Squeezy — payments and checkout (merchant of record).
- MailerSend — transactional emails (verification, password reset, support replies, and sentence reports).
- Google Cloud Text-to-Speech — generating sentence audio.
- OpenAI — generating example sentences.
- Google reCAPTCHA — protecting forms from spam.
- Sentry — error monitoring; recorded data is masked and excludes personal information.
Your choices
You can view and update your account in the app. You can permanently delete your account and its data at any time from Settings, or by emailing us. Deleting your account removes the stored sentence report from Forest Panda; copies already delivered to the operator mailbox may remain there until that mailbox is cleared. We keep data in Forest Panda only while your account is active.
Cookies
We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. Google reCAPTCHA may set its own cookies on pages where forms appear.
